Creative Edge Dance has been inspiring Valley dancers since 2005. We offer quality professional instruction in dance and physical fitness for all ages. Our classes range from the highest level competition dancer to the recreational dance student who loves to dance. Our goal is to develop confident, creative and passionate dancers. Our students have gone on to become Doctors, Lawyers, School Teachers and amazing parents as well as award winning College team dancers and professional dancers. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!!

JayR Rangel - Jazz Funk, Hip Hop
Terrance "Hush" Eddings - Hip Hop, Team Choreographer
Hush has an overabundance of creative talent and ingenuity. He is an amazing dancer, musician and photographer. Hush has danced with the WNBA Mercury Hip Hop squad, the NBA, Radio Disney and the Elektro Academy. He has danced with the Elektrolytes and is a current member of the Epik Dance Company. Hush has choreographed for studios all over the valley. This is his second season at CED and we are so happy to have him in our dance family!
Jessica Rubio - Ballet, Jazz, Cheer
Jessica grew up in the dance rooms at Creative Edge Dance. She danced competitively for five years with both dance and cheer teams. Jessica has since moved on to be an amazing teacher in the same classrooms where she grew up dancing. She is now in her sixth year as an instructor with Creative Edge Dance. Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude from ASU in 2015 with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education. She is currently working in the Roosevelt School District teaching fourth graders and coaching the schools dance and cheer programs. We are incredibly proud of Miss Jessica and truly blessed to have her as part of our amazing instructional staff.
The Kelsey Kroll - Contemporary, Jazz, Company Choreographer, Adult Program instructor
Kelsey Kroll recieved her Bachelors of Arts Degree in dance at the prestigious Chapman University in 2016. During her time there she had the pleasure of working under instructor/choreographers such as, Sean Green, William Johnston, Lix Maxwell, Amanda White and many more talented teachers. In 2015, Kelsey was inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts through the National Dance Education Organization and graduated with honors through NDEO. In 2016 she founded the Barry Goldwater Alumni dance Alliance. She is currently dancing with CaZo Company Dance and has worked with Rosencrans Dance. Kelsey danced for many years with Center Dance Ensemble under Ms Frances Smith Cohen. This past year Kelsey formed her own dance company, Emergence Dance. We are so happy to have Kelsey sharing her passion for dance to all ages of dancers, from preschool to Adults. We are so happy she has been a part of our dance family for the past 7 years.

Emmanuel "Kunta" Moore - Breakdance
Madison Frazier - Ballet, Contemporary
Madison recently graduated in 2020 with Honors from ASU's Barret Honor College with a BS in Toxicology/Pharmacology. Madison is also a CED Alumni. She grew up in the studio having danced for 16 years. Madison trained in all styles of dance but fell in love with Ballet and contemporary. She was a member of The Repertory Ballet Ensemble for six years dancing the Lead roles of the Princess in the Firebird and The Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. Madison danced as a member of the CED Competition team for eleven years. Her team went on to win many Technique and first place awards. She also won high praises for her solo work in both Contemporary and Pointe. Madison loves to share her love of Ballet technique with her students and the beautiful storytelling of Contemporary. We are very blessed to have her working with our dancers.
Faith Lorimer-Jazz, Contemporary
Faith is a CED Alumni and grew up in the studio. She was a member of the NAU's Dance Team. The NAU team took the 2020 NCA Championship in Hip Hop. Faith will be graduating from NAU in 2021 with a BA in . She loves working with our Teens and Juniors. We love having her back in the studio and sharing her love for dance with the next generation.
Amber Robins - Ballet, Pointe
A lifelong student of dance, Amber began her dance training at age six. She attended Glendale Community College and studied under Lenna DeMarco. She then went on to Arizona State University. As a student , dancer, teacher and choreographer she worked with many High School and College programs throughout the Valley. After graduation, she moved to Georgia and danced the corpse de ballet earning soloist roles at Ballet South. After moving back to Arizona Amber started her prestigious career at Center Dance Ensemble with the unforgettable Frances Smith Cohen. She has danced many lead roles at CDE including Anne Frank, Ophelia and is Best know as The Snow Queen in the winter classic. Amber also works with Elevate Danceworks performing in Las Vegas, California and Chicago. She is on staff at Mesa Community College and teaches Ballet and Modern workshops all over the USA. Ms Amber is truly amazing with her students and we are blessed to have had her at CED.
Tristan Hooks - Hip Hop
Tristan grew up dancing in the dance rooms at CED. He competed in Jazz, Musical Theater, Tap and of course Hip Hop. His true love of course had always been Hip Hop. For the last several years he focused on his Hip Hop and has been training and competing on a global scale with Young Jukebox in Mesa. In 2019, Tristan and his team received a gold medal at Hip Hop International. We are so happy to have Tristan back in our dance rooms sharing his passion and skills in Hip Hop with our young students.
Candy Marquez - Tap, Jazz, Competition Tap
Ms Candy is an accomplished dance educator with over 30 years experience. She has taught Tap, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Musical Theater and Lyrical to dancers all over the Valley. While teaching locally Ms. Candy worked with a National Dance Competition and traveled all across the country as a Competition Judge. Her competition routines have won many awards and overall finishes. Ms. Candy's students have gone on to dance professionally as Az Cardinal Cheerleaders, The Radio City Rockettes and an Academy Award nominated actress. She is incredibly proud of every student and encourages them to be strong, creative and confident. We are overjoyed to have such an experienced teacher like Ms. Candy on our staff.
Shannon Barone - CED Director, Performance Company Director/Choreographer
Shannon Barone is a life long lover of dance and the arts. Starting Baton twirling at the age of 4, she fell in love with the music and the art of the sport. After taking her first dance class in High School, everything fell in to place and she knew DANCE was it for her. Shannon danced competitively for 4 years at Leap of Faith Dance +. She them went on to teach dance and has been teaching for 14 years. Shannons love of dance continues to grow with every year that passes. Shannon has won numerous Choreography awards and Top overall awards for her competition dances. She has also coached and choreographed award winning competition Pom routines for many high school teams such as North Point Prep, Northwest Christian and Valley Vista High School. Watching a child grow from a sweet three year old with all the love of dance to an amazing confident dancer full of passion is her greatest gift! She can not wait to inspire the next generation of dancers and instill the love of dance in their hearts.
Michele Frazier - CED Director, Youth Services Director, Performance Company Choreographer
Michele Frazier is a mother of two amazing daughters that grew up dancing and performing. She began her passion for performance at a very young age. It developed in in elementary school when she toured with a local youth theater in "Tom and Huck". She performed in many musicals throughout high school as one of the few triple threat performers at her school. In 2005 she and her dear friend, Tracy Sandon, took the leap and opened "Leap of Faith Dance +". Together they built an amazing dance studio! In 2016 Tracy retired and the studio became Creative Edge Dance under the vision of Michele and Shannon Barone. Michele has always had the love of teaching performance and dance to students of all ages. She has been teaching dance and theater for the past 17 years. She loves teaching pre-school and elementary dancers to be creative, imaginative and confident artists. Her competition teams have won many first place and overall awards. Michele received an award for Best choreography in 2017. "It has been an incredible journey over the past 15 years and I can't wait for more"!!
McKenzie Giguere - Jazz, Lyrical
Mackenzie is a CED alumni, training with us from a young age. She trained and competed in all styles of dance. She is enjoying working with our Teens and juniors. Mackenzie is a natural teacher and her students love her!
Christi Joe - Tumbling, Acro, Flexibility
Ms Christy started her coaching career teaching tumbling and acrobatics in 1990. She has been sharing her passion for tumbling, acrobatics and cheer at Creative Edge Dance for the past fourteen years. Before joining Creative Edge she has worked with the Grand Canyon University cheer teams as well as tumbling gyms throughout the valley. Ms.Christy has worked in many interesting places including Club Med where she worked as a trapeze artist and acrobat at the resort. She loves to play the Cello and is also a certified sports massage therapist. Ms. Christy has been a very important member of the CED family since the beginning and we are incredibly blessed to have her training our amazing dancers.

Alexia Carmichael - Jazz, Technique, Company Choreographer
Alexia developed the love for dance at two years old. She grew up dancing and competed locally and Nationally at Diverse Elements. Alexia moved on to dance on the ASU dance team and spirit squad. She has continued her dance career by performing with The Suns Dancers and Automatic Response. Her passion and love for dance shows in her instruction and choreography. We are so blessed to have Alexia in our dance family and inspiring our dancers to reach their full potential.
HD - Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Hip Hop,
HD was raised in North Phoenix and took her first dance class at the age of 3. She grew up as a competitive dancer and was trained in ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz, jazz funk, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theatre. At 14, she began assisting her mentor Jose Soto at local studios and high schools. Her time with Jose not only strengthened her as a dancer but also helped to shape her teaching style. Also at 14, she was selected by Vicky Harris as the first-ever prodigy for Choreography Pros (dance team choreography for Pro, collegiate and high school teams). A year later, she was selected as a prodigy for NRG Dance Project where she was discovered by Robert Hoffman III and signed with Go2Talent Agency.
HD is passionate about training young dancers and unlocking their full potential. She began her teaching career at 14, teaching her first hip hop class for Arizona RawTalent. She also has taught students of all ages at Conservatory of Dance, Dalton Dance Theatre, and A Time to Dance. She is a guest teacher at Paul Revere Charter Middle School in Los Angeles where she choreographed and assisted with staging their 2019 production of “Newsies.”
For the past 3 years, HD worked as a professional dancer in Los Angeles. Her dance performances included commercials, full-length productions, concerts, and pageants. While in LA, she trained with industry professionals including Oththan Burnside, Nicole Kirkland, Amari Marshall, Kennis Marquis, Brooklyn Jai, and Thalia Ramos.
HD is also a singer/songwriter, plays guitar, and is a professional fire eater.
